There are a couple of great events happening this May in the Stanwood area and on Camano Island.
Touch a Truck
The annual Touch a Truck event is here! This weekend, May 4th in downtown Stanwood from 10 am to 2 pm is the annual family fun event that brings a crowd. Sponsored by PUD, Lenz Enterprises, Community Transit and Dwayne Lane’s of Arlington, This year’s Touch a Truck offers all types of trucks from Fire Engines, bulldozers, excavators, police trucks and more for kids and the kid in all of us. Join us this year at 90th Ave NW in Stanwood and bring the entire family! There will be entertainment and food and it’s supposed to be a nice day!
The Camano Island Studio Tour
On May 10 through the 12th and May 18 and 19th from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM is the Camano Island Studio Tour, one of the longest running studio tours in the Pacific Northwest. Within 30 artists located throughout the island will be featuring their one-of-a-kind masterpieces. The tour offers something for everyone in nearly every type of visual medium imaginable. With two weekends to choose from you can certainly find a time to check out this amazing studio tour. Check out the local artists creating ceramic items, glass, jewelry, painting and mixed mediums, photography, sculptures, textiles, and woodworking. This is the 21st annual Camano Island Studio Tour with cover artists Jack Gunter. Other artists include Jed Dorsey, Maureen O’Brien, Sarah Walker, and James Shipley.
