The Camano Island State Park is located on the southwest side of the island and is just minutes from Seattle yet a world apart. It’s quiet, perfect for riding, hiking or biking, taking a stroll along the shore and exploring the best the Camino Island has to offer. While you’re at it, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and Mount Rainier. From this park, you can go boating, crabbing, saltwater fishing, and sale boarding in Saratoga Passage.
Camano Island State Park also features a 244-acre camping Park with 6700 ft.² of rocky shoreline and beach to explore. There’s picnic and days facilities, a restroom, and 4 miles of biking and hiking trails. This is probably one of the larger campgrounds and parks on the island.
In the State Park, there was a concrete boat ramp, several outfalls, a couple of bulkheads and stairs. After a long stretch of nothing, there was a fairly continuous bulkhead till the satellites went out of view, ending our outing a little early. I came back on another day to finish the short remaining segment
