Just after rounding Utsalady Point we found a house built out on the beach. After this, the beach was mostly wild until we came to Maple Grove. The Pier at Camp Grande was just finishing being rebuilt, complete with a mesh section down the middle to allow light to get through. There is a boat ramp, historical signs, picnic areas, limited parking, gardens and beautiful views. The boat launch is $5 for residents and $15 for non-residents.
After rounding Rocky Point, the beach was wild for almost all of the remaining distance. Most of the second half of this walk was just enjoying the scenery. There are residential homes nearby so it’s important to respect private property when visiting Utsalady Beach.
